Prof. Dr. Riad Shamkhi Al-Mousawi, a professor from the University of Kufa, Faculty of Agriculture Department of Food Sciences has obtained a patent in cooperation with a research team of Prof. Dr. Manal Abdel Wahid From the University of Karbala – Faculty of Agriculture, researcher Wael Jasab from the Directorate of Agriculture in Najaf. The Patent granted for as part of a study they submitted on (manufacturing complementary baby foods from local plant products and studying their nutritional value). Al-Mousawi said that the study included the manufacture of two types of complementary foods with four nutritional mixtures for children from locally available agricultural crops.
