The Faculty of Nursing: University of Kufa organized a workshop, “The Phenomenon of Human Trafficking,” to educate students on the concept and forms of human trafficking, raise legal and social awareness about its dangers, and enhance humanitarian and professional sensitivity in dealing with victims.
It included real-life case studies of victims, discussions on Iraqi and international legal frameworks, and an examination of the psychological and physical impacts on survivors. It emphasized the role of healthcare personnel in identifying and managing such cases.
Its recommendations called for expanding awareness campaigns and training programs within educational institutions, integrating anti-human trafficking concepts into academic curricula, and strengthening collaboration with security and legal authorities.
