Dr Istibraq Muhammad, a professor at Faculty of Law -University of Kufa, participated in a scientific conference held by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers on “Towards a National Strategy for the Advancement of Iraqi Women by the Islamic Approach, National and Social Constants”.
It included:
• Women’s empowerment is a key government focus.
• The aim is to increase women’s participation in society (economic, social, political).
• This empowers women to contribute to sustainable development.
-Strategies include:
* Closing the gap between women and the modern world.
* Addressing challenges related to customs, traditions, and social norms.
* Promoting fair employment and labour policies.
* Encouraging women’s role in environmental protection.
