Workshop: Human Trafficking Phenomenon

The Faculty of Nursing: University of Kufa organized a workshop, “The Phenomenon of Human Trafficking,” to educate students on the concept and forms of human trafficking, raise legal and social awareness about its dangers, and enhance humanitarian and professional sensitivity in dealing with victims.

It included real-life case studies of victims, discussions on Iraqi and international legal frameworks, and an examination of the psychological and physical impacts on survivors. It emphasized the role of healthcare personnel in identifying and managing such cases.

Its recommendations called for expanding awareness campaigns and training programs within educational institutions, integrating anti-human trafficking concepts into academic curricula, and strengthening collaboration with security and legal authorities.

Conference: Neurological Diseases in Barcelona

Professor Dr. Hayder K.Hassoon, a faculty member at the Faculty of Medicine-University of Kufa, represented Iraq at an international conference on neurological diseases in Barcelona, Spain.
Over 1,000 specialists in neurology and brain sciences attended the conference.
It included the latest research developments and treatment protocols for multiple sclerosis and immune-related diseases affecting the nervous system.
Dr. Hayder Kazem’s contributions included attending scientific sessions and chairing a specialized workshop during the conference.

The Faculty of Nursing: University of Kufa organized a workshop, “How to Search for Scientific Sources and Use EndNote for Automated Source Management.”
It aimed to enhance researchers’ efficiency in handling academic sources, reduce the time and effort spent on referencing, and support the production of accurate and well-organized scientific research using globally recognized modern tools.

It has effective methods for searching global databases, evaluating the reliability of research, and practical training on installing and using EndNote software to organize references in research papers and theses.
It concluded with several recommendations, including organizing periodic training sessions on reference management software and creating an Arabic-language electronic guide to help researchers easily utilize these tools.

Iraqi Universities Athletics Championship for Students

The University of Kufa’s team secured first place in the Iraqi Universities Athletics Championship for Students, organized by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority – Student 69��Ƶ Division of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of 52 Iraqi universities.

The team earned 96 points, outperforming the University of Wasit, which claimed second place with 79 points, and the University of Baghdad, which ranked third with the same score.
This achievement reflects the university’s commitment to supporting student activities and fostering a culture of competitive excellence across diverse fields.
