The University of Kufa, in cooperation with the administration of the Holy Shrine, organized the annual central celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the University of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Yasir Lafta Hassoun, representatives of the Holy Shrine, a group of professors and specialists in the Arabic language, and professors from various universities.
The university president pointed out the importance of celebrating this day when the United Nations issued its decision to adopt the Arabic language among the official languages, to be the sixth in addition to (English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese).
The Arabic language was distinguished by honoring human from all other languages with eloquence, rhetoric, and linguistic beauty.
