In the presence of a number of religious, academic and official figures, the University of Kufa started its activities in 1440H, which was adopted by the University since the beginning of the year of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib(pbuh), on the occasion of the passage of fourteen centuries on the martyrdom of the 40 th H. Dr.prof. Muhsin Al-Dhalimi stressed that the festival started its activities with the beginning of the Hijri year 1440. Today we officially open this festival, which continues until the end of the academic year with many cultural events, conferences and seminars dealing with the biography of Imam Ali (pbuh) .The representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Mussa Al-Moussawi conveyed in his speech the gratitude of the Ministry of Higher Education for University of kufa and its activities, festivals and scientific and cultural conferences, aimed at building the new Iraqi human
