The Faculty of Medicine -University of Kufa organized a specialized training course titled “Immunological Techniques and Diagnostics” to enhance expertise in modern laboratory methods and their clinical applications.
The comprehensive program delved into the fundamentals of immunology, including the functions of the immune system, core concepts of antibodies and antigens, and the types of immune responses.
It included essential immunological techniques such as:
-Rapid Chromatographic Immunoassays ( lateral flow tests)
-Immunodiffusion Assays
-Precipitation and Agglutination Techniques
It highlighted advanced methodologies, including:
-Fluorescent Immunoassays (FIA)
-Flow Cytometry
-Chemiluminescent Immunoassays (CLIA)
These techniques were explored in diagnosing infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, and cancers.
